Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy
This Policy sets out what may not be listed on JustReused, and what may only be listed subject to conditions. It applies to every listing across all categories — goods, property, vehicles, and items offered for hire — and forms part of our Terms of Service. We remove listings that breach it and may suspend or close accounts. Where a report suggests an item may be illegal, the listing may be placed under review while we assess it.
Items that are never allowed
You must not list, offer, or attempt to hire out any of the following:
- Illegal goods or services, or anything unlawful in the buyer’s or seller’s country.
- Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, and regulated weapon parts or accessories.
- Illegal drugs, controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia.
- Stolen goods, or items without lawful title or the right to sell.
- Counterfeit, replica, or trademark-infringing goods, and unauthorised copies of media or software.
- Adult or sexually explicit content, and any content that sexualises or endangers minors.
- Human remains, organs, endangered species, and protected wildlife or products made from them.
- Hazardous, recalled, or unsafe products, and items subject to a safety recall.
- Government IDs, official documents, and personal data of other people.
- Items that promote hate, violence, or discrimination.
Items allowed only under conditions
Some items may be listed only where the law allows, to eligible buyers, and with any required licences or disclosures:
- Alcohol and tobacco — only where legal and only to adults; age-restricted at handover.
- Medicines, supplements, and medical devices — only where lawful and properly labelled.
- Vehicles — must be accurately described with correct registration, roadworthiness, and ownership details.
- Property — listings must be genuine, accurate, and lawfully offered for sale or rent by an entitled party.
- Live animals — only where local law permits and welfare requirements are met.
- Financial, digital, and intangible items — restricted; many are not permitted at all.
Reporting and enforcement
Anyone can report a listing they believe breaches this Policy using the report tools on each listing. We review reports, may place a listing under review, and can remove listings and act on accounts. When we remove a listing we aim to give the seller a reason and a way to respond. Serious or repeated breaches may be referred to the authorities.
