Buyer & Renter Protection and Dispute Resolution

JustReused is a venue that connects buyers, sellers, and people hiring items. We are not a party to the deals users make. This page explains the protections we offer and how to raise a problem. It does not replace your statutory consumer rights.

Staying safe

• Meet in safe, public places and inspect items before paying where possible.
• Keep communication and, where offered, payment on the platform.
• Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true or ask you to pay off-platform.
• Use the report button on any listing or message that looks wrong.

Reporting and review

Reports feed our review process. Listings that attract credible reports may be placed under review and hidden from contact while we assess them. We aim to give sellers a reason for action taken and a way to respond.

Hire: condition reports and disputes

For hire, both sides should record the item’s condition with photos at hand-over (check-out) and return (check-in). If there is a dispute about damage, loss, or charges, we consider the booking record, the condition reports, and any deposit, and reach a decision. Serious matters may be referred to the authorities or your insurer.
